Jerry
Burrow obtained a BSE in Art Education at Henderson State University
in 1973. He first started out teaching in the Arkadelphia public
school system during the 1974/1975 school year. He later moved to
Little Rock and taught Interior Design and Fashion Merchandising
at South Central Career College, he also worked at the Design Exchange
in North Little Rock during this period. In 1980 he was the owner
and principle designer for J.L. Burrow, Inc., Custom Interior Design.
In 2004 Jerry closed his successful business so that he could return
to his hometown of Arkadelphia and to his first love of teaching.
Jerry teaches Art K-6 and is Dean of Students in the Delight Public
School System.
Jerry works in a variety of art mediums. He is passionate about
encaustic oil painting (the artist paints with hot wax and oil pigment
to create a finished painting.) He has worked in pottery, collage,
box sculpture and most recently with fused glass.
