Randy
Johnson lived in Northern California for 18 years perfecting his
craft of pottery making at the Mendocino Art Center in Mendocino,
CA, The College of the Redwoods in Fort Bragg, CA, and Sierra College
in Grass Valley, CA. These are where he learned the traditional
ways of making pottery. He prides himself on making his own high
fire glazes and hand firing his own pieces. His work consists mostly
of Porcelain and Stoneware functional pieces like plates, cups,
and bowls for everyday use. However, occasionally he dabbles in
larger decorative pieces. He moved to Arkansas in 2005 and started
Red Barn Pottery. His pottery can be found in his gallery located
in Arkadelphia, AR. He is a member of the Caddo River Art Guild.
